1. Introduction

Welcome to CTChefforhire.com (the “Website”), operated by Chef for Hire, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our Website, requesting services, submitting an event inquiry, or booking our private chef and catering services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Our services include personalized meal preparation, private dining experiences, catered events, and related hospitality services. These Terms apply to Website use and, unless otherwise specified in a signed event agreement, the services we provide.

2. Services Offered

Chef for Hire, LLC provides private chef services, catering for celebrations and special events, customized menus, on-site meal preparation and presentation, and professional servers or bartenders when requested and available. All services are subject to availability, event location, staffing requirements, and agreement on scope.

3. Event Booking and Reservations

3.1 Booking RequestsSubmitting an inquiry or booking request does not guarantee availability or confirm a reservation. An event is confirmed only after Chef for Hire, LLC accepts the booking and any required deposit or agreement has been received.

3.2 Event InformationClients must provide accurate event date, time, location, guest count, requested services, menu preferences, dietary restrictions and allergies, venue access, kitchen facilities, and special arrangements. Changes may affect pricing, staffing, or availability.

4. Service Rates and Additional ChargesUnless otherwise agreed in writing, private chef services are $110 per hour; servers and bartenders are $50 per hour per staff member. Additional charges may apply for ingredients, rentals, transportation, specialty equipment, additional staffing, or other event expenses. Final pricing will appear in an estimate, proposal, invoice, or written agreement. Additional hourly charges apply if an event exceeds agreed service hours.

5. Deposits and Payment Terms5.1 Deposit RequirementsA deposit equal to 50% of the estimated event total is due 30 days before the event, when the booking timeline permits. For bookings within 30 days, an alternative schedule may be established.

5.2 Final PaymentThe remaining balance is due on the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Additional charges for guest count, service hours, or event requirements will be reflected in the final invoice.

5.3 Payment MethodsAccepted methods will be communicated during booking. Clients are responsible for applicable charges and taxes shown in their event agreement or invoice.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

6.1 Client CancellationsA $500 non-refundable cancellation fee will be retained from payments received. Any remaining deposit funds will be refunded, subject to additional non-refundable expenses expressly agreed upon in writing.

6.2 ReschedulingAny deposit balance remaining after applicable charges may be applied toward a new event date, subject to availability and mutual agreement. A new date is not guaranteed until confirmed.

6.3 Company CancellationsIf Chef for Hire, LLC cancels due to circumstances within its control, payments for services not provided will be refunded unless an alternative is agreed.

7. Guest Counts and Event Changes

7.1 Final Guest CountThe final guest count must be provided at least seven (7) days before the event and will be used for planning, purchasing, staffing, and preparation.

7.2 Guest Count IncreasesIf the actual guest count exceeds the confirmed count by more than 10%, additional per-person charges apply according to agreed pricing.

7.3 Guest Count ReductionsReductions after the seven-day deadline may not reduce the final invoice because supplies and staffing may already be committed.

8. Menu Planning and Dietary RequirementsMenus are customized based on preferences, ingredient availability, and event requirements. Items may change due to seasonal or supplier limitations. Clients must disclose known allergies and dietary restrictions before final menu approval. While reasonable care is taken, a completely allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed where ingredients, equipment, or preparation areas are shared.

9. Event Location and Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide safe and reasonable venue access; agreed kitchen facilities, utilities, workspace, refrigeration, and equipment; a safe environment for staff and guests; and necessary venue permissions. Unexpected site conditions may require additional charges. Chef for Hire, LLC may suspend services if unsafe conditions present significant risk.

10. Staffing and Service Hours

Staffing depends on event size and nature. Service hours may include agreed preparation, setup, service, and cleanup. Additional services or extended hours incur applicable hourly charges. Additional staff requests are subject to availability.
